Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Our prayer is that everyone gives the Truth a fair consideration...
It all began around 1986.  I had just recently married my bride Janet, and had been reading scripture privately for the very first time in my life. I was not participating in any church at that time.  A very dear friend of mine invited me to accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior, which I did.  Even though I had been confirmed into the Catholic faith at 13 years old, like so many other people of my generation, I knew next to nothing about the Catholic faith.  This problem is still evident today! In my opinion, this is the primary reason why Catholic's are lead out of the Church. It was certainly the case for me.

There is no doubt, that at the moment of accepting Jesus, I experienced an encounter with the Lord and my journey home began. At this point in time, several Catholic teachings were being pointed out to me. In just a few short weeks, I had learned more about the Catholic faith than all my years attending C.C.D. classes, so I thought.  I began attending Bible studies and often times attended a small non-Catholic church, which launched my love and understanding for my new found faith.  As I mentioned earlier I began learning the Catholic faith also, but in a very negative light.  The teachings of the Catholic Church were obviously in contrast with the Bible. One passage I was lead to over and over was "call no man Father on earth" (Matthew 23:9).  I can remember being shocked of this news! The Catholic Church was bold face lying to people and leading them to hell!  As time went by Janet, who was being a supportive spouse through my faith journey, pointed out the exact repetitive actions the pastor was going to perform during his services.  To my surprise she was correct! It was then that I realized the very thing that protestants condemned the Catholic Church for, traditions, was in there church also.

Seeing this idea of tradition, forced me to ask the question, "If tradition is acceptable for the protestant churches, then why is Catholic tradition so evil?" Eventually I stopped going to churches all together and, with an open heart and mind, prayed to God for guidance in seeking truth.  I began reading the Bible privately again, and in a four year period  the Holy Spirit showed me the authoritative teaching of the apostles through which Jesus founded His church.

In my study, I read the passage in which St. Paul tells us to call him "father," and imitate him as he imitates Christ.  Now, there was a direct biblical contradiction to calling 'No man on earth father.'  I sought out the Catholic answer to this paradox.  I then learned the Catholic Church's balanced interpretative explanation of what seemed to be a paradox; it was not a paradox at all.   Once I acknowledged the Catholic Church's divine authority, it wasn't long before I humbled myself and returned to the faith of the gospels.  Thanks be to God!

This website was inspired by my personal journey of writing a short Catholic rebuttal to a Christian book written by one of my childhood friends.
The Ultimate Gift written by Mike Fuselier was written in 2014 and has been distributed throughout my hometown. The Ultimate Gift is Mike's personal testimony and relationship with Christ. First, I would like to set the record straight and exclaim my gratitude for Mike's relationship with Christ; however, it is obvious throughout The Ultimate Gift that Mike is pointing several of his critical comments toward the Catholic Church. Though I have the utmost respect for Mike, I will not be silent.

As a Catholic, I feel required by faith to refute the fictional claims made. As I began writing my rebuttal, I began to realize that other searchers may want to read my argument. With the encouragement of my son, that original rebuttal evolved into this website. It is my hope and prayer that this rebuttal (either the original or this website) will provide the evidence necessary to debunk Mike's and other non-Catholic allegations toward the Catholic faith. More importantly, I pray that whoever reads this, Catholic or not, will come to better understand what Catholics really believe. Finally, I want to be clear, I truly believe that the most important aspect of any faith is belief and love for God and his begotten Son. The Catholic Church has and always will be the ultimate road map for that journey of love and belief. It is the ultimate faith.

May God Bless You,

The Ultimate Gift refuted by Catholic Rebuttals

In reference to the story above: Mike Fuselier, the author of The Ultimate Gift, is my life-long friend and my brother in Christ. Mike's work was the catalyst to the development of Catholic Rebuttals. Mike's arguments against the Catholic Faith inspired my son and I to develop a resource for all Catholic apologists. We want to be extremely clear. We love all of God's creation, regardless of race, gender, age, religion or belief.
